Valley Irrigation’s story began in 1946 when Robert B. Daugherty invested in a small Nebraska manufacturing company. By 1954, he licensed the first center pivot irrigation patent from inventor Frank Zybach, sparking a revolution in how farmland was watered. Over the following decades, Valley transformed irrigation technology—moving from hydraulic to electric systems, pioneering galvanized steel parts, and introducing the first corner pivots to reach every inch of a field. The company’s commitment to innovation helped it expand rapidly in the U.S. and internationally, with products designed to boost crop efficiency and conserve resources.

From the 1980s onward, Valley led the charge into tech-driven agriculture. They brought in computerized scheduling, GPS-based controls, remote monitoring, and app-connected systems to make precision irrigation more accessible than ever. Their ongoing mission to support growers with reliable, efficient, and cutting-edge solutions has made Valley a global leader in mechanized irrigation—now serving over 100 countries and helping farmers maximize every drop.
